1. Introduction

Glowdo ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Glowdo mobile and desktop application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your email address and display name from your Google profile. This is used solely for authentication and to display your identity within the app.
• Task and idea content: The tasks and ideas you create are stored to provide the core functionality of the app. This content is only visible to you.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: We collect your device's time zone to schedule notifications at the correct local time.
• App usage data: Task completion statistics (e.g., number of tasks completed per day) are stored locally and in the cloud to power the Analytics feature. This data is not shared with third parties.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Location data (GPS or otherwise)
• Contacts or address book
• SMS or call logs
• Advertising identifiers
• Biometric data
• Camera or microphone access
• Photos or media files

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account via Google Sign-In
• To sync your tasks and ideas across your devices via Firebase Cloud Firestore
• To send you local task reminder notifications that you schedule
• To display your task analytics and productivity trends

4. Data Storage & Security

4.1 Local Storage

Task and idea data is stored on your device using SharedPreferences. This data persists locally and is available even without an internet connection.

4.2 Cloud Storage

When you are signed in, your tasks and ideas are synced to Firebase Cloud Firestore, hosted by Google. All data in transit and at rest is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.

4.3 Data Backup

App data may be included in your device's automatic backup (Google Drive backup) depending on your device settings. We do not control device-level backup behavior.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.

6. Third-Party Services

Glowdo uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication — For secure Google Sign-In. Subject to Google Firebase Terms of Service.
• Cloud Firestore — For encrypted cloud data storage and sync. Subject to Google Firebase Terms of Service.
• Google Fonts — The Inter font is loaded from Google's CDN on first launch. Google may collect your IP address as part of this request. See Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

• Local data: You can delete all local task data at any time from Settings → Erase All Data.
• Cloud data: To delete your cloud data, sign out of your account and contact us at the email below to request full account and data deletion. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
• Google account: Disconnecting Glowdo from your Google account can be done at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

8. Children's Privacy

Glowdo is a general productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Data portability (export your data via the app's Export feature)

10. International Users

If you are accessing Glowdo from outside Saudi Arabia, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Google's data centers which may be located outside your country of residence. By using Glowdo, you consent to such transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
